Here you can engage in meaningless sauntering along the gushing Baspa river while gazing on the snow capped peaks.
Nestled amidst the snow-capped peaks, lush green meadows, and the gushing Baspa River, the village is a visual delight in itself. The pristine beauty of the landscape captivates visitors and provides ample opportunities for photography, trekking, thus delving into nature’s splendour.
The most popular trek is the Kinnaur Kailash Parikrama, a challenging pilgrimage that takes you around the holy Mount Kailash. Other treks, such as the Rani Kanda meadow trek and trek along the Baspa River , offer breathtaking views and a chance to explore the region’s diverse flora and fauna.Witnessing traditional Kinnauri dances and participating in local festivals like Fulaich and Sazo adds a vibrant and immersive experience to your visit.

A pleasant stroll amidst the fragrant apple orchard or a leisurely walk along the narrow village lanes allows you to connect with the blissful arms of Mother Nature. This place is mostly inhabited by Kinnauri people who are known for their warm hospitality and rich cultural ethos. Don’t miss the opportunity to taste the delicious Kinnauri apples. If you happen to come across any marriage procession, don’t lose the opportunity to take a part of it to submerge yourself into the vibrant Kinnauri culture. The Kinnauri people will definitely welcome you with wide arms. So don’t hesitate at all ! Also, don’t forget to take a selfie with a flamboyant Kinnauri cap atop your head.

Medical Emergency:
After reaching Kaza, there is a reasonable likelihood of coming under the shadow of High Altitude Sickness (for brevity ”HAS”). In this light of the above, it is pertinent to mention that there are few medical shops available in the Kaza market. Also there is a hospital near the Office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Kaza, even though the facility available in that hospital is of very basic and rudimentary nature. Yet, there exists an oxygen support system and a free medical dispensary inside the hospital. In the hour of dire need, such a miniscule medical service may become a matter of paramount importance.
There are ample options in Kaza for stay ranging from luxury hotels, homestay to hostels for budget backpackers. Parking area is also available in most of the hotels and hostels.
Kee Monastery:
This is a living testament to the ancient culture and spirituality of the region. Kee Monastery, perched majestically atop a hill, is one of the largest and oldest monasteries in Spiti. Immerse yourself in the peaceful ambiance of this monastery and experience the local culture through interactions with friendly monks. However, to get the best view of the ineffable beauty of this monastery, one has to trek 1 km upwards. The reverend Lamas will tell you about the direction of the place. So don’t get perturbed!

During mid-day, consider day trips to places like Kibber to experience the other side of Kaza, while avoiding the hordes of tourists that flock to the old town.
